48th and Divine St. - Formerly known as Cedar Hill, this park has been
renovated to include a new multi-station play structure and better parking.
Boynton Park - Cameron
Hill - A one-acre park with Civil War cannons and a fountain which
provides a scenic overlook of the city.
Caruthers Park - 33rd
and Brannon - This brand new 3-acre park off Rossville Blvd. has a
shaded walking trail, playground, ball field, and picnic area.
Confederate & Citizens Cemetery - E.
5th and Palmetto St. - Burial grounds for Civil War soldiers and
historic Chattanooga citizenry.
Coolidge
Park - Between
Market and Walnut Street Bridge-The exciting new downtown
park on Chattanooga's Northshore waterfront. Coolidge Park features a
beautifully restored carousel, a pavilion, an interactive play fountain, and
lots of open space. A short walk across the bridge allows visitors to
enjoy an all new downtown Chattanooga. It is part of the Tennessee
Riverpark, a 22 mile public park along the Tennessee River.
East Lake Park - 3108
E. 34th St. - A 16-acre park which includes a fishing facility, a
playground, tennis courts, and a senior adult building. Amphitheater and
picnic pavilions available by reservation.
Harris Johnson Park - W
28th St. & Market - This new five-acre park was recently built and
donated to the city by Wheland Foundry. It has a picnic area, playground,
and walking trail.
Jefferson Street Playground - Jefferson
St. and E. 17th St. - This once deserted and unmanaged space is now a
beautiful open park featuring a new playground complete with swings and a
pavilion.
Montague Park - 1141
E. 23rd St. - One of the city's two major softball parks, this 45-acre
facility includes six ball fields, concession stands, a playground, and
grassy areas
River
Gallery Sculpture Garden - E.
2nd St. and High St. - This park is privately owned and
maintained. It is open to the public, and located just off the Riverwalk at
the Hunter Museum.
Portland Park - Signal
Mt Blvd and Signal Mt Rd - This passive open area at the corner of
Signal Mountain and Suck Creek Roads is new to the department.
Rivermont Park - 3400
Lupton Drive - A 61-acre park just across the river from downtown which
has picnic pavilions, shelters, a walking trail, tennis courts, a boat ramp,
four ball fields and a new handicap-accessible playground.
Riverview park - Barton
Ave and Dorchester Rd - Tucked into a 1.5 -acre setting and built in
1939, this park has been revitalized and improved in the last few years to
include a new outdoor amphitheater, playground, two tennis courts, picnic
tables, barbecue grills, and large grassy areas.
Walnut
St. Bridge - map
- This is the world's longest pedestrian bridge and the only such facility
in the southeast. It is also available for reservation for special events.
Warner Park - 1254
East Third St. - The largest of Chattanooga's softball parks, this
53-acre facility offers seven ball fields, 12 tennis courts, a playground, a
rose garden, six official horseshoe pits, picnic facilities, a pool, and
lots of grassy areas. It is also home to several of the city's recreation
facilities including the Power House Fitness Center, The Chattanooga
Arts Center, and the Warner Park Zoo. The Parks, Recreation, Arts &
Culture Department offices are also located within the field house at the
center of the park.
Miller Park - W.
10th St. and Market St. - This popular one-acre downtown park is used
heavily by the downtown lunch crowd. It has an outdoor amphitheater, a large
fountain, grassy areas, and a variety of plant life. Many outdoor activities
are scheduled for this park.
Miller Plaza - W.
10th St. and Market St. - This privately operated facility of
River Valley Partnership is located across the street from its sister
facility, Miller Park. It is home to a mini-mall, several offices, a covered
stage, and a beautiful brick courtyard. It accommodates many upcoming
outdoor events and concerts. Reserve with the Chattanooga Downtown

Ross's
Landing Park - 100
Riverfront Parkway - Located across the street from the
Tennessee Aquarium, this city facility consists of a marina, boat ramp, a
dock area, and restrooms. It is the crown jewel of the Riverpark system. It
now has two official-size sand volleyball courts and open grassy areas. Some
facilities are available for reservation.
Ross's Landing Plaza - 200
Broad Street - This new park surrounds the Tennessee Aquarium and is
like an outdoor museum. It consists of a series of paved bands that move
back in time toward the river. A stream in the center of the two-acre plaza
which winds throughout the major areas that make up our regional history
symbolizes how the river was largely responsible for Chattanooga's
development. All Facilities in the park are designed for interaction;
there's nothing off-limits here. A great place to discover!
Chattanooga has 18 parks, 21 playgrounds, and five greenways. Many of these
feature picnic pavilions or meeting sites and are available for special event
reservation.
